Advanced Building Systems has been in the Steel Framing and Modular Building industry for nearly 30 years. In those years we have designed, supplied and built with several different steel methods of construction including; traditional Cold Formed Steel (light gauge), Hot Rolled (red iron) and seemingly all other hybrid steel systems in between (such as; panelized, tube steel and thin wall concrete steel systems).
For us, it doesn't matter what type of steel system is used as there is simply no material that can offer the benefits that steel does. Steel will always be the material of choice for people who want and need performance because more often than not, it just makes the most sense. Now, if you have worked with steel in California you know that thermal conductivity is a downside that cannot be ignored. Which is frankly one of the major reasons why we went looking for better solutions. And, we thought we had found viable answers with composite panels of foam and CFS which were interesting but not too well thought out when it came to actually building. Next was a foray back to conventional steel framing materials and one that claimed thermal values on par with wood but that is another story...
Suffice it to say that we learned a few things in working with these other products. Albeit they were important things, like which products actually do what is claimed. So, you can imagine how excited we are to finally find the steel product STEP (Steel Thermal Efficient Panels) that not only solves the thermal issue but it goes beyond by actually improving upon the whole concept of panelized building! We believe you will find much benefit to our having reached the other side of the learning curve. It is our hope that we can help you to make better decisions, save time and money when it comes to building with steel now that STEP has entered into the equations. |
